Head-on Crash Claims Life of Expectant Mother, Unborn Child

The accident took place last Friday in Batesville.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Multiple agencies responded to a fatal accident in the 2000 block of South County Line Road in Batesville last Friday afternoon.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Natalie Rennekamp was southbound on County Line Road when her vehicle went left of center and struck a dump truck driven by Joshua Baker.

Rennekamp, 36, was taken to Margaret Mary Health where she and her unborn child were pronounced dead.

Baker was uninjured in the crash.

Greensburg Fire, Batesville EMS, and the Ripley County Coroner assisted at the scene.
