Harrison HS to Honor Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Members

The first four inductees will be honored at tonight's boys varsity basketball game.

(Harrison, Oh.) – Four inaugural members of the William Henry Harrison High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame will be honored tonight.

Dr. Melody Hartzler, Amy Storer Scalia, Judge Amy Searcy, and Phyllis Wilson Wolf were chosen for the honor based on their academic career at Harrison HS, their post-high school endeavors and successes, and their contributions to their community, whether it be Harrison or elsewhere.

Each will receive recognition at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game against Talawanda. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30.

Dr. Melody Hartzler is a 2004 graduate of Harrison High School. She is currently a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialist (BCACP), and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM). Dr. Hartzler is the owner of PharmToTable, LLC, where she develops continuing education for pharmacists at FxMedCE.com and provides a platform for functional medicine telehealth visits. She is also a nationally recognized speaker on diabetes and functional medicine.

Amy Scallia is a 2000 graduate of Harrison High School. In 2007, she founded Cincy Chic, an online lifestyle publication for women. Today, she works as an on-air host on Local 12.

Judge Amy Searcy is a 1979 graduate of Harrison High School. After graduating from Xavier University and Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University, she began practicing Criminal Defense Law as a Public Defender. In 2014, she became a Common Pleas Judge in Hamilton County. Judge Searcy is currently a Hamilton County Great Parks volunteer and has served on multiple committees.

Phyllis Wilson Wolf is a 1956 graduate of Harrison High School. She worked as the Harrison HS secretary to the principal for 30 years, which she followed with 37 years of service in the Southwest Local District Treasurer’s Office. Wolf officially retired in June 2023 after working for the school district for 67 years. During that time, she never missed a day of work, and she still works part-time when needed at the Treasurer’s Office.
