(Friendship, Ind.) - A Hazardous Materials incident was reported on Sunday afternoon on County Road 175 East.

Friendship Volunteer Fire Department responded around 3:01 p.m. and encountered a connection hose between a nurse tank and applicator that had burst, leading Anhydrous Ammonia.

The ammonia is used for agricultural fertilizer.

The operator was able to escape the tractor without inhaling any of the product or sustaining any other injuries.

Firefighters say the nurse tank was not full and bled off within minutes. The tank was secured so any remaining product was contained.
