Franklin Co. Sheriff’s Office Announces Expansion of Recovery Support Services

1Voice Recovery Community will now offer group and individual support services.

(Brookville, Ind.) - The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is pleased to announce the expansion of recovery support services within the Franklin County Security Center through a partnership with 1 Voice Recovery Community.

As part of this continued effort to provide meaningful recovery resources to incarcerated individuals, 1 Voice Recovery Community will now offer both group and individual peer support services to men and women housed within the facility. Services will include twice-weekly evidence-based recovery group sessions, as well as individualized reentry planning designed to connect participants with resources and support upon their release.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department recognizes that addressing substance use disorders and related challenges is an important component of improving public safety, reducing recidivism, and helping individuals successfully reintegrate into the community. By providing access to peer support and recovery-focused programming while individuals are incarcerated, we hope to create additional opportunities for long-term success after release.

We would like to recognize Joel Connaway and Jennifer Keal for their dedication and commitment to expanding peer support services within the Franklin County Security Center. Their efforts, along with the support of 1 Voice Recovery Community, have helped make this program possible.

Sheriff Peter Cates and the staff of the Franklin County Security Center remain committed to exploring and implementing programs that support recovery, accountability, and positive outcomes for those entrusted to our care.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department appreciates the partnership and ongoing support of 1 Voice Recovery Community as we continue working together to strengthen recovery services within our jail system and throughout Franklin County.
