(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Four Lawrenceburg High School seniors have been named the recipients of the Brady Gabbard Memorial Scholarship.
Rylee Held, Colton Roth, AJ Nelson and Ella Shelton were named the scholarship winners at LHS’ Senior Night awards ceremony on May 10.
Each received a $1,000 scholarship, which was created by the Whiskey City Badd Boyz baseball team in memory of former Badd Boy himself, Brady Gabbard.
Gabbard passed away in July 2021 of kidney cancer.
Funds for the Gabbard Memorial Scholarship are raised through community donations and proceeds from events such as the Brady Gabbard Memorial Softball Tournament.
Currently, the scholarship will provide four scholarships of $1,000 each through Brady’s graduation year of 2024.
