Firefighters Respond to Smoke Report at Franklin County High School

The incident was quickly dealt with on Thursday evening.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Firefighters responded to Franklin County High School on Thursday evening after a loud noise and smoke were reported. 

The cause of the smoke was from an electrical outlet in the office area. Firefighters from Brookville and other surrounding towns quickly addressed the issue and deemed the building safe. 

As a precaution, firefighters checked the rest of the building to ensure it was safe for school on Friday. 

" We want to send a big shout out to the fire department for the quick response to Franklin County High School. Also to our maintenance and custodial team who jumped into action as soon as the report came in," reads a Facebook post from the Franklin County Community School Corporation
