Firefighters Act Quick, Limit Damage To Aurora Home

The fire was reported Sunday afternoon on U.S. 50.

(Aurora, Ind.) – A quick response by firefighters helped limit the damage to a home in Aurora.

The Aurora Fire Department responded to an attic fire on the 6600 block of U.S. 50 around 3:15 Sunday afternoon.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters quickly knocked the fire down. No injuries were reported but damage to the home is estimated at $10,000.

The fire was ruled electrical. Those impacted are currently staying with relatives.

Assisting at the scene was  Aurora EMS, Dillsboro Fire Department, Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, Aurora Utilities and Duke Energy.
