(Friendship, Ind.) – A quick and well-prepared response prevented a more serious situation on Saturday night.
Friendship Volunteer Fire Department responded to a combine on fire in the 600 West block of County Line Road around 7:57 p.m.
Upon arrival, the farmers had the fire well under control.
Firefighters then overhauled a small fire in the corn fodder and flushed some smoldering debris out of the combine.
Friendship Volunteer Fire Department credited the farmers for being prepared and reacting quickly to the situation, as it could have been a lot worse.
