(St. Leon, Ind.) – Four members of East Central FFA have qualified for the state competition.
East Central FFA members competed in the Indiana 4-H/FFA Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Career Development Event at the Southeast Purdue Ag Center in Butlerville on April 9.
Students participated in a Wildlife Challenge where they identified 25 wildlife specimens, completed a general knowledge exam, and took part in a wildlife management practicum where they examined an actual piece of property, and suggested improvement practices for the area to attract certain species of wildlife.
The team of James Bulach, Bradley Kolb, Evan Kuhn, and Braden McDaniel placed second and will advance to the state competition at Purdue University on Saturday, May 21.
Other top performances include:
- 3rd Place: Hadrian Emley, Lewis Darringer, Emma Reatherford and Adrien King
- 6th Place: Julie Rider, Isabelle Leurck, Marissa Gabbard and Ayden Stutz
- 7th Place: Jasmin Keith, Mack Eckstein and Bryson Dossenback
