Duke Energy Suspending Disconnection For Non-Payment

The decision is effective immediately for tri-state area customers.

(Plainfield, Ind.) - Duke Energy customers are getting financial relief during the Coronavirus pandemic.  

The company announced Friday that they are suspending disconnection for non-payment effective immediately for all homes and business accounts in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.  

Four other states are being covered as well.  

Duke Energy released the following statement:  

“As a part of your community and a provider of essential services, we are here to support you during this uncertain time. Since many of our customers may be facing unusual financial hardship, we are suspending disconnection for non-payment effective immediately. We will continue to look for ways to support suctomer needs during this pandemic.”
