Driver Hurt In Ohio Co. Rollover Wreck

The crash happened on State Road 56 near Old State Road 56.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – A driver was hospitalized after his car went off State Road 56 and rolled multiple times.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash on S.R. 56 at Old State Road 56 North at around 10:17 a.m. The deputies arrived to find a white 2008 Mazda flipped onto its top.

Deputies believe the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a culvert and began to roll. It may have rolled approximately three times.

The driver, Douglas Thies, of Rising Sun, was transported to Highpoint Health by Ohio County EMS.

Also assisting at the scene were Rising Sun Police Department and Rising Sun Fire Department, and Ohio County Emergency Medical Services.
