Driver Charged With Manslaughter Following Fatal Crash in Walton

(Walton, Ky.) – An arrest has been made following a fatal accident in Walton.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the single vehicle crash at the intersection of Richwood Road and Chambers Road on Friday around 1:32 a.m.

Deputies say Bryanna Godsey, 22, of Walton, was operating a white, 2010 Kia sedan when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a culvert.

Her passenger, Allasandra Losey, 22, of Hebron, was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Godsey allegedly told deputies the two had just left a local bar, and that her last drink was approximately an hour and a half prior to the collision. She sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Once discharged, Godsey was placed under arrest and charged with Manslaughter 2nd Degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence of Alcohol 1st with Aggravating Circumstances.

She is currently lodged at the Boone County Detention Center.
