Donations To Hog Rock Family Relief Fund Near $39K

The outpour of community support has been incredible.

(Milan, Ind.) – A small community can make a big impact.

That became evident over the past couple of weeks as thousands of dollars were raised to help support those impacted by a Thanksgiving Eve fire at Hog Rock Café in Milan.

The fire destroyed the building and left 31 employees without a job and Jeff and Chrissy Lanham without a business.

The community rallied behind those impacted by setting up the Hog Rock Family Relief Fund. Of the course of two weeks and one Saturday drive-thru donation event, nearly $39,000 was raised to assist the families of Hog Rock Café employees.

According to Jim Bode, one of the event organizers, there was support from all over the country, from as far away as California to Florida and all points in between.

Donations are still rolling in.

Community members who haven’t had the opportunity to donate may do so at Civista Bank in Milan.
