(Dillsboro, Ind.) - After over a year of construction, the renovations at the Dillsboro Library are complete.
Community members are invited to celebrate the completion of the project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dillsboro Library at 10151 Library Lane, Dillsboro, IN.
The ceremony will include:
- Special guests speaking on the construction process and the importance of libraries
- A behind the scenes look at the new space
- Limited edition library cards & bookmarks
- A time capsule
- Activities and take & makes for children
- Refreshments
Renovations to the building include two new private study spaces and two large meeting rooms, a reading room with a cozy fireplace, an outdoor seating and play area, a bigger children’s room, a room specifically for teens, more restrooms, updated display shelving in the Local History Room, and a garage for an incoming bookmobile.
The bookmobile will be used for outreach and to travel to areas of the district without an Aurora Public Library District building such as the Manchester and Moores Hill areas.
