(Hebron, Ky.) - Just a day after UPS in Hebron announced more than 400 layoffs, another local company says it’s looking to hire.
DHL Express said Thursday it will invest $46.9 million expand its business and add more than 200 jobs at its hub at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.
DHL wants to add a 193,000-square-foot sorting facility to its current operations and have it operational by November. There would be an addition of 120 full-time and 163 part-time workers to the operation.
The shipping giant has received preliminary approval for $1.5 million in tax incentives from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The expansion is contingent on local tax incentives from Boone County being finalized.
