The award will be given at the 8th Annual Celebrate St. Lawrence Gala in late January

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - St. Lawrence School is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for The Gene Tibbets Alumni of the Year Award, which will be presented during the school's 8th Annual Celebrate St. Lawrence Gala on January 30, 2027, at the Lawrenceburg Event Center.
The Gene Tibbets Memorial Alumni of the Year Award recognizes one graduate of St. Lawrence Catholic School and one graduate of St. Mary's School in Aurora who continue to exemplify the faith, service, leadership, integrity, and excellence fostered through their Catholic education. Recipients should demonstrate a lasting positive impact in their communities, professions, parishes, and families while carrying forward the values that have defined St. Lawrence for generations.
Nominations are currently being accepted through the school website and must be submitted by November 20, 2026. Award recipients will be notified during the week of December 1.
The Alumni of the Year Award presentation will be one of the highlights of Celebrate St. Lawrence 2027, the school's annual fundraising event. The evening will bring together alumni, families, parishioners, and community supporters for dinner, entertainment, auctions, and a celebration of the traditions, accomplishments, and future of St. Lawrence School.
"We have so much to celebrate at St. Lawrence. This event highlights the success of our students today while recognizing alumni who continue to make a positive impact in their communities," said Dave Caldwell, Principal of St. Lawrence School.
As Dearborn County's only PK-8 Catholic school, St. Lawrence School relies on the generosity of alumni, families, businesses, parishioners, and community supporters to continue its mission of educating students in faith, academic excellence, and service.
