It will be in effect from Saturday morning through late Sunday night. Heavy snow is expected with total snow accumulations between six and 11 inches possible.
Travel could become very difficult
Persons should consider altering their travel plans. If you do plan to travel in hazardous winter conditions, consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – Widespread heavy snow and dangerous ice is expected this weekend across the U.S.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, an expansive winter storm will produce a swath of heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain from the Southern Rockies/Plains and Mid-South starting Friday and shifting towards the East Coast through Sunday.
Extreme cold in the wake of the system may prolong snow and ice impacts.
Confidence is high on a winter storm, but low on the exact storm track, timing and precipitation amounts.
Right now, the forecast for the tri-state area calls for weekend snow Saturday night into early Sunday, and bitter cold temperatures Friday through Monday.
