(Versailles, Ind.) – The Town of Versailles has closed on the purchase of Raider Gas.

The closing comes following the September 2022 award of a $358,600 Blight Clearance Grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

The Town of Versailles was also aided by a $40,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation. The funding helped the town reach the required matching funds to receive the OCRA grant.

Final environmental testing is required prior to demolition.

The Town of Versailles anticipated demolition and site cleanup will take place over the summer.
