The project is part of a $1.9 million bridge rehabilitation contract that also includes the S.R. 350 bridge over South Hogan Creek.

(Aurora, Ind.) — Milestone Contractors plans to begin work Monday (June 29) on U.S. 50 in Aurora. The project includes a deck overlay on the bridge over CSX Railroad, just over one mile west of S.R. 350/S.R. 56.

On or after Monday, the bridge will be restricted to one 10-foot lane in each direction. Work will be completed in two phases, beginning in outside lanes, followed by inside lanes. The project is expected to be complete in approximately four weeks, weather permitting. Wide and oversize loads should use an alternate route.

The project is part of a $1.9 million bridge rehabilitation contract that also includes the S.R. 350 bridge over South Hogan Creek. Work is continuing on the S.R. 350 bridge, which is planned to reopen in early August.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones. All work is weather dependent.
