Dearborn County Commissioners Move Forward With Stage 4

The Travel Advisory has been cancelled and the general public will now be allowed to enter the Dearborn County Government buildings without an appointment.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn County will be moving forward with Stage 4 of Governor Holcomb's "Back on Track Indiana" plan.

At Tuesday's Board of Commissioners meeting, the Dearborn County Commissioners updated the proclamation extending the Local Emergency passed in March.

Changes that have been made to the proclamation includes cancelling the Travel Advisory as well as allowing the general public to enter the Dearborn County Government buildings without an appointment.

Moving forward, the commissioners will continue to review the declaration of emergency and may terminate or extend the local emergency as required.

All offices will continue to practice social distancing guidelines, require visitors to wear masks, and undergo a medical screening before entering through security. While masks are in limited supply, it is asked that visitors wear their own masks if they have one.

Individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms may be denied entrance to Dearborn County properties. If a symptomatic individual is appearing for a Court hearing, the individual will only be denied entrance if excused by the Court where their hearing is to be held.

Dearborn Circuit and Superior Courts are governed by Order(s) issued by the Indiana Supreme Court under Indiana Administrative Rule 17. The Courts and Court Services, which includes probation and community correction, will continue to follow the current Order under Indiana Administrative Rule 17.
