DCHD: COVID-19 Morbidity & Mortality Report For August 14-20

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Health Department released a Morbidity and Mortality Report for the week of August 14 through August 20. The numbers reported include those tested with results. 

Testing for Dearborn County residents has increased by 177 residents since the previous week. 

632 Dearborn County residents were tested for COVID-19 this past week. Testing for these residents was received from Highpoint Health, Indiana State Department of Health, Bethesda North, Mercy Health, Urgent Care Lawrenceburg, and LHI. 

Of the these 632 residents tested, 31 tests came back positive while 601 were negative. This boost in testing and the returned positive tests shows the positivity rate dropping from the past week from 8 percent to 5 percent. 

There were no COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Dearborn County for the week of August 14 through August 20.

To date, Dearborn County has seen a total of 7,113 residents tested with 548 positive cases. For overall positive cases, Dearborn County shows a positivity rate of 8%. 

There have been 28 reported COVID-19 related deaths. Of these deaths, 1 was between the ages of 60-69, 1 between the ages of 70-79, 16 were between the ages of 80-89, 8 between 90-99, and 2 were 100 years old or older. Looking further, 17 females and 11 males succumbed to their fight with the coronavirus.
