DCH Home Health Offering Monthly Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Clinics

Press release by Dearborn County Hospital  (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn County Hospital Home Health & Hospice is continuing to provide free community blood pressure and blood sugar clinics once a month at various locations throughout Southeastern Indiana. “Participants should take their medications as scheduled,” stated Kathy Miller, RN, DCH Home Health & Hospice Unit Manager.  “Also, fasting for eight hours prior to the blood sugar screening provides more accurate results.  People with diabetes or those who are under a health professional’s care should consult their physician/nurse practitioner before fasting.  All participants are given their screening results which they are encouraged to share with their healthcare provider.” Blood pressure/blood sugar clinic sites, days and times are as listed. First Tuesday: Hoosier Boy Apartments Community Room, 211 Walnut Street, Rising Sun, at 9:30 a.m. and Dillsboro Village Apartments, 10145 Alpha Drive, Dillsboro, at 11:00 a.m. Second Tuesday: Zion Lutheran Manor, 15 Village Drive, Lawrenceburg, at 10:00 a.m. Second Wednesday: Moores Hill Senior Center, 16610 North Broadway Street, Moores Hill, at 10:00 a.m. Third Thursday: North Dearborn Village Apartments, 25795 Unity Street, West Harrison, at 10:15 a.m. Fourth Tuesday: Switzerland County Senior Center, 305 Walnut Street, Vevay, at 10:00 a.m. Fourth Thursday: Greendale Village Apartments, 489 Ludlow Street, Greendale, at 2:00 p.m. Dearborn County Hospital Home Health & Hospice assists patients and their families by providing a wide variety of inhome health care services including skilled nursing care; physical, occupational and speech therapies; nutritional counseling; personal care; medical social services; IV therapy and case management.
