Crews Entering Final Phase of Work on Carroll Cropper Bridge

Floor beam repairs are the last task to complete.

(Petersburg, Ky.) - The final phase of the I-275 Carroll Cropper Bridge project is scheduled to get underway this week.

As of last Friday, the scaffolding plan for the bridge has received final approval. Starting this week, crews will begin installing scaffolding to prepare for floor beam repairs, weather permitting.

Once these repairs officially begin, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will provide another update with a revised completion date for the overall project. As of now, the completion date is Fall 2025 with no specific date mentioned.

As of September 10, crews completed all four expansion joint repairs. T-1 steel repairs have also been completed.
