UPDATE: Troy Thomas has been charged with three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 Felonies) and a Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement.
If convicted, he faces from 10 to 30 years in prison on the dealing charge and an additional six to 20 years on the habitual offender enhancement.
He is currently held in Dearborn County Jail on $1 million cash bond.
(Dearborn County, Ind.) - In early 2025, the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office began an investigation related to methamphetamine distribution.
During the investigation, detectives were able to purchase over 111 grams of suspected methamphetamine from the suspect, Troy Thomas.
An arrest was made on Wednesday when Thomas was observed driving through Dearborn County. He was eventually taken into custody at a known location in Greendale where he often sold suspected narcotics, officials say.
Thomas, 38, of Cincinnati, was allegedly in possession of approximately 117.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine at the time of his arrest. According to investigators in the Special Crimes Unit, Thomas was allegedly distributing large amounts of methamphetamine in Dearborn County for several years.
Thomas is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine.
According to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office, Thomas has an extensive criminal history in Hamilton County, including aggravated robbery, multiple weapons charges and trafficking in drugs.
