Festivities include a ceremony, parade and live music.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Community members are invited to celebrate 50 years of Brookville Lake.
A celebration ceremony will take place at the Overlook Recreation Area on Friday, July 25 starting at 1:00 p.m. Attendees may bring a lawn chair or blanket, relax on the hill, and enjoy the ceremony to honor the past and the legacy of Brookville Lake.
Parking at the Overlook will be limited. Signs and directions will be posted the day of the event.
A parade on Main will follow the ceremony from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Other festivities include music on the courthouse lawn (6-9 PM), music in the municipal lot (6:30-9:30 PM), music on Third (7-10 PM).
Since Brookville Lake became operational in January of 1974, the lake has served as a vital resource and a favorite recreational spot for residents and visitors, with more than 1 million visitors in 2023.
