(Bright, Ind.) - Festival fun will take center stage this weekend in Bright, Indiana, when the Bright Community Festival returns for two days of food, fun and family activities that have become an annual tradition in this small Southeast Indiana town.

A fundraiser for the Bright Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, the event will feature a variety of activities for the entire family, including live music, kids’ rides and games, a beer tent, informational booths, gaming and more.

WHAT: The Bright Community Festival

WHEN: July 26-27

TIME: Fri., July 26: 6pm-11pm. Sat., July 27: 4pm-11pm (Parade at 3pm)

WHERE: Bright Firehouse #1, Salt Fork Road, Bright, Indiana

The event kicks off Friday evening with a performance by Pure Grain, while Saturday’s highlights include a car show in the morning, large parade at 3pm, chicken dinner starting at 4pm, and live entertainment by After Midnight.   As always, the festival will also offer several legendary raffles, including a vacation trip for two (plus $1,000 cash) and a jumbo split-the-pot giveaway.

“Even though we’re already midway through the summer, our festivals and events are still going strong,” says Debbie Smith, Director of the Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism Bureau.  “In fact, events are a main driver of day trips from out-of-town visitors to our community.”
