Bright Elementary Student Competing at Loretta Lynn’s National MX in Tennessee

(Bright, Ind.) – A Bright Elementary School student is back at the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur motocross event.

Luke Shelton, 10, is competing this week at Loretta Lynn’s National MX in Tennessee.

This year, Shelton made the jump to the 65 junior class, in addition to racing a 65 mod. A year ago, Shelton raced at the event in the Micro 3 (7-8) Limited Division.

So far, Shelton placed 42nd in the 65cc (7-9) Limited Division and 35th in the 65cc (7-9).

Racing continues through August 5.

Aside from starring on motocross tracks, Shelton is a straight-A student and plays quarterback for Trojan Red.
