Benefit Ride Set for Wife of VFW Post 7590 Quarter Master

The ride will take place this Sunday.

(Harrison, Oh.) - A fundraiser will be held this weekend for a local family in need. 

Billie Jo Steele, the wife of the Quarter Master at the VFW Post 7570 in Harrison, is currently battling lung cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. She has expressed her desire to see a parade of bikes riding past her home, leading to a Lung Cancer Awareness Ride on Sunday, March 16. 

Bikers are invited to take part in the event which will start at noon at the VFW Post. Registration will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

While the focus is on bikes, cars, and jeeps are also welcome and will follow behind the motorcycles. 

There is no registration fee but donations will be accepted. 

Prior to the ride, there will be an all-you-can-eat breakfast for $10 per person. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.
