(Ripley County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe plans to begin work this week on a $8 million asphalt resurface and small structure replacement project in Ripley County.
Beginning on or after Tuesday, March 21 motorists should anticipate lane closures beginning on State Road 129 between U.S. 50 and S.R. 48. The project will be completed under flagging operations as crews work to complete asphalt patching, milling and paving.
The contract was awarded to Paul H. Rohe in August 2022. The contract also includes a small structure replacement project set to begin in June. All work is expected to be complete this fall. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
