Brookville Police say a Richmond man possessed drugs at St. Michael School.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Members of a work crew on a contracted job at a school in Brookville were caught with drugs.
Brookville Police say Justin E. Martin, of Richmond, was arrested Wednesday, September 4 near St. Michael School when a vehicle he was driving was stopped by officers. Martin had been part of a work crew at the school.
Brookville Police said several others were arrested on various misdemeanor drug charges. One subject allegedly attempted to dispose of an illegal substance in the school and church parking lot as students were attending gym class nearby.
One of the parish employees located the illegal substance in the area and provided it to Brookville patrolmen. Consequently, St. Michael’s School employee’s suspended gym class and removed the children from the area.
“Patrolmen were able to determine the owner of the illegal substance through several on-site interviews. As a result of these interviews, the suspect was immediately placed under arrest,” a BPD news release stated.
Martin was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (level 6 felony), Possession of Marijuana (class B misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (class C misdemeanor).
