The search started on Sunday morning and concluded in the early afternoon

(Boone County, Ky.) - The Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Boone County Emergency Management, and multiple other agencies conducted an active search for a missing child in the area of the 2300 block of Lawrenceburg Ferry Road in Petersburg, Kentucky.
The missing child was 1.5-year-old, who was found safely after an extensive multi-hour search.
The incident began early Sunday morning when the child's father discovered the front door open and the child was missing from their family home.
The search concluded at around 12:15 p.m. when the child was located approximately one mile from home.
Agencies on scene and assisting with the search included: oone County Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit, K9 Unit, Boone County EMA, Campbell County EMA, Kenton County EMA, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky State Police Aircraft Support Branch, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, Hamilton County Landsar, Petersburg Fire District, Hebron Fire District, Florence Fire District, Union Fire District, CVG Airport Fire, Covington Fire Department, Campbell County Fire Department, Northern Kentucky Tactical Rescue Team, Boone County Water Rescue, Hamilton County Water Rescue, Kentucky Search Dog Association, and Northern Kentucky Mobile Command.
