Sit. Stay. Read! Dogs make great listeners, and reading out loud to them can improve reading comprehension and confidence. Grab a book and take a paws to read out loud to a trained therapy dog! Dogs are handled by volunteers from Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati. And this Barks and Books will be a special one at the Lawrenceburg Main Library! We start with a bonus story at 10:15 a.m. with local author Gena Stonefield and her dog Wenli. Then five more local children's authors will be reading one of their books throughout the hour with the Barks and Book therapy dogs. The authors will be Tina Neely, Bobbi Cornett, Emily Wetterich, Emmie Werner and Effy Williamson. Kids attending any of the story times will receive a mini plush dinosaur, while supplies last, in celebration of our Summer Reading Challenge theme- Unearth a Story! 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sat., April 11, Lawrenceburg Main Library.
