Today is Kayla Roell Day at Milan Schools

The recent state champion will be recognized at tonight's boys basketball game.

(Milan, Ind.) - Today is Kayla Roell Day at Milan Community Schools. 

The school corporation will celebrate Roell's state championship win by having a pink spirit day, in addition to special recognition at tonight's boys basketball game. 

Roell won the state championship in the 120 pound weight class at the inaugural IHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championship last Friday. She finished the season with a record of 36-1, ranking #4 in her weight class.

All attendees at tonight's basketball game are asked to wear their finest pink attire. 

Milan takes on South Ripley with the JV contest starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity at approximately 7:30.
