Switzerland Co. Athletic Hall of Fame to Welcome Two New Members

The induction ceremony will be held April 16.

(Vevay, Ind.) - Harold Neal (posthumously) and Brooke Todd will be inducted into the Switzerland County Hall of Fame Class of 2025. 

Neal was a 1957 graduate of Vevay High School who excelled in basketball. Todd also excelled at basketball and also play volleyball and softball. Bios for each inductee can be read below. 

The newest members will be recognized at the Pacer Varsity Club Dinner on Thursday, April 16 at Belterra Casino. Festivities will get underway at 6:00 p.m.

This year's guest speaker is former Indiana University defensive tackle Walt Harris. He played for the Hoosiers form 1985-1988 before a stint in the NFL. 

 

Harold Neal (1957)

Harold was a 1957 graduate of Vevay High School. Harold excelled on the hardwood and was an integral part of back-to-back Sectional Championships for the Warriors - 1955 and 1956. Harold averaged double figures as a Sophomore (11.3 ppg.), Junior (14.5 ppg.) and Senior
(19.7 ppg.). Harold was also known for his prowess on the baseball field as well drawing attention from scouts from professional teams. Harold moved to Florida and lived there until his passing in 2005.

Brooke Todd (2016)

Brooke was a 3-sport athlete at Switzerland County High School and lettered all 4 years in all 3 sports - volleyball, basketball and softball. She finished her career as the girls basketball all-time leading scorer in girls basketball and is currently 2nd all-time with 1,215 career points. Brooke remains the all-time leader in career assists (394) and career free throws made (370). She is 2nd in career steals (270) and 5th in career field goals made (408). Brooke was All-Conference and All-Sectional all 4 years in basketball, including Sectional MVP her Junior year. She was named 1st team Academic All-State her Senior year. Brooke earned All-Conference honors in Volleyball and Softball as a Sophomore, Junior and Senior. She was a part of the only Volleyball Sectional Championship team in school history in 2014 and also won a Softball Sectional title as a Freshman. After graduation, Brooke went on to Hanover College and played for the Panthers Women’s Basketball team where she remains the all-time assist leader with 351.
