Success of Harrison Soccer Teams Celebrated with New Jerseys

The boys and girls teams are heading to District Championship games this week for the 1st time in school history.

(Harrison, Oh.) – It has been an incredible season for Harrison Soccer.

Both the boys and girls teams are heading to District Championship games this week for the first time in school history.

On top of that, both teams captured SWOC Championship with undefeated runs in conference play.

The Lady Wildcats are 16-1-1 entering tonight’s matchup against St. Ursula. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Mariemont High School.

Junior Abby Smith leads the Harrison attack with a conference-high 36 points (11 goals, 15 assists). Fellow junior Reece Lazarus has 11 goals this season.

In goal, freshman Mallory Oliver is among the conference leaders in saves with 110 and four shutouts.

The Harrison boys are 17-0-1 ahead of the District Championship. They are coming off a 3-2 win at Sycamore.

Senior Gaven Johnson leads the team with 26 goals and 22 assists. Fellow senior Evan Esterkamp has tallied 13 goals.

In goal, senior Jimmy Lockwood has only had to make 32 saves all year long, on his way to 14 shutouts.

To celebrate their success this season, the Harrison Athletic Department partnered with Headlines to bring new gear to the boys and girls soccer teams.
