(Versailles, Ind.) – One of the top cross country runners in the state of Indiana is heading across the border to run in college.

The South Ripley Athletic Department announced Thursday that senior Megan Cole has signed her letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University.

Cole has been one of the top runners in Indiana over the past couple years, breaking her own school records on multiple occasions. This fall, Cole capped off her senior season at the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals, where she finished 63rd out of 208 competitors in the girls race.

Earlier this month, she was named to the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches All-State First Team in Class 2A.
