Cross Country Star Megan Cole Named First-Team All-State

Three other area runners earned honorable mention.

(Versailles, Ind.) – Four runners from southeast Indiana have earned All-State honors, including an All-State First Team selection.

The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches recently released their 2018 Boys and Girls Cross Country All-State teams.

After a season of record-breaking performances, South Ripley senior Megan Cole was named to the IATCCC Class 2A All-State First Team. Cole capped off her high school career at the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals, where she finished 63rd out of 208 competitors in the girls race.

Switzerland County’s Leah Anders was named honorable mention in Class 2A.

Two sophomore boys were also honored by the IATCCC.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Damon Hughes and Oldenburg Academy’s Tyler Kuntz earned honorable mention in Class 1A.
