(Versailles, Ind.) – A South Ripley High School softball star will continue her playing career at the collegiate level.
On Wednesday, Mady Tompkins signed her letter of intent to play softball at the University of Illinois Springfield.
Tompkins was an ICGSA 1A/2A All-State Second Team selection as a junior. This past season, she hit .556 with 10 home runs and 40 RBIs.
In the pitching circle, Tompkins was 10-3 with a 1.06 ERA and 182 strikeouts in 99 innings pitched.
