Shawe Memorial's Grote, Stuart Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

Milan's CC Bailey also earned recognition with a record breaking performance.

(Madison, Ind.) – Another week of basketball is complete in the Ohio River Valley Conference, and this week it’s a pair of Shawe Memorial standouts that earned weekly honors.

The ORVC report for November 19-24 was released on Tuesday.

Shawe Memorial’s Kate Grote and Milan’s CC Bailey shared ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. Grote, the conference’s leading scorer (24.2 ppg) totaled 65 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals in two games, while Bailey set a single-game school record with 17 rebounds in a win over New Washington at the Hoosier Gymnasium in Knightstown. She also chipped in six points.

The ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week is Ethan Stuart. The Shawe Memorial star posted 35 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks vs. Medora.
