Rising Sun's Montgomery, Switz. Co's. Taylor Earn Weekly Honors From ORVC

See who performed well for the week of August 31-September 5.

(Undated) – Student-athletes from Jac-Cen-Del, Rising Sun, Switzerland County and South Ripley have earned weekly honors from the Ohio Valley River Conference.

The ORVC report for August 31-September 5 was released on Wednesday.

Rising Sun’s Kendall Montgomery was named the ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week. The Shiners star scored three goals and assisted on three more in as many matches.

The ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week is Switzerland County’s Kenzie Taylor. She totaled four goals in three matches last week for the undefeated Lady Pacers.

South Ripley’s Lanie Nicholson and Jac-Cen-Del’s Josh Pohle are the ORVC Runners of the Week.

Southwestern captured the ORVC Girls Golf Championship. Belle Crawford was the conference medalists with an 81. The rest of the ORVC Girls Golf All-Conference team was rounded out by Southwestern star Ellie Foley, Shawe's Kira Wells, JCD's Tracy McKittrick and Switzerland County's Haley Hines and Lily Williams
