Ripley Co. Tournament MVPs Earn Weekly Honors from ORVC

The accolades keep coming for Emily Flood and Caleb Simon.

(Versailles, Ind.) – The MVPs of the Ripley County Tournament have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC report for the week of January 3-8 was released on Tuesday.

South Ripley’s Emily Flood is the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. Flood was the Ripley County Tournament MVP totaling 29 points and 11 rebounds, including 22 points in the championship game against Jac-Cen-Del.

The ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week went to Jac-Cen-Del’s Caleb Simon. He averaged 15.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks in two games at the Ripley County Tournament, earning tournament MVP.

The Rising Sun pair of Ani Edwards and Nate Graver were named the ORVC Swimming Performers of the Week.
