Ringer Among Nine SEI Stars to Earn IFCA All-State Honors

East Central, Lawrenceburg, Milan, and South Dearborn were represented on the All-State teams.

INDIANAPOLIS - Nine high school football stars from southeastern Indiana have earned All-State honors. 

The Indiana Football Coaches Association recently announced their 2023 All-State Teams. 

Locally, East Central led the way with four selections including Top 50 All-State Team selections Josh Ringer and Noah Schneider. Ringer, who soon could be adding Mr. Football to his list of accolades, ran for 2,880 yards and scored 60 total touchdowns. Schneider played a key role in paving the way for over 4,800 rushing yards from his left tackle position. 

Wide receiver Ryan Brotherton and linebacker Dylan Maxwell were named to the Class 4A Senior All-State Team. Brotherton made 35 receptions for 757 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also ran for 440 yards and six scores. Maxwell, the Mental Attitude Award winner at the state championship, was the Trojans' second-leading tackler with 86. He lived in the opponents backfield this season with 10 tackles for loss. Maxwell was also impressive as a runner, totaling 729 yards and five touchdowns. 

In Class 3A, Lawrenceburg's Noah Knigga and South Dearborn's Brady Ballart were named to the Junior All-State Team. Both are among the top linebackers in the state and are receiving plenty of D-1 interest. Knigga, a junior, battled a hamstring injury early in the season. He totaled 51 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, two sacks and two caused fumbles in only six games. Ballart, a sophomore, was the Knights' second-leading tackler with 64. He also had seven tackles for a loss, an interception and two fumble recoveries. 

Milan tight end Ethan Pierce made the 1A Senior All-State Team. It is his second All-State selection. Milan did not pass the ball a ton this season, but Pierce led his team with 160 yards and three touchdowns on 13 receptions. Pierce also made an impact as a blocker, along with junior All-State selection Landon Stanley, helping pave the way for 3,141 rushing yards. 

Dylan Offill had a big year defensively. He was fourth on the team in tackles (51) and had a team-high seven interceptions.
