Record-Breaking Lambert Highlights ORVC Weekly Award Honorees

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - A record-setting student-athlete highlights the latest Ohio River Valley Conference weekly award winners. 

Rising Sun soccer star Hillary Lambert is the ORVC Girls Soccer Co-Player of the Week for September 30 through October 5 after recording four goals in two matches. In the midst of those two matches, Lambert became Rising Sun's all-time leading goal scorer with 50 for her career. 

She shares the girls soccer weekly honor with Milan's Cassidy Derico, who tallied eight goals and two assists in three matches last week. 

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Shawe Memorial's Bartosz Rychlicki. He scored six goals in two matches, including five goals in a win over Jac-Cen-Del. 

South Ripley's Kaiya Rinear is the ORVC Volleyball Player of the Week. Her stat line from last week was as follows: 100 percent serve, 4 aces, 13 kills, 6 blocks, 33 digs in three matches.

The ORVC Runners of the Week are Southwestern's Savannah Nussbaum and Milan's Gabe Riehle.
