ORVC Baseball Co-Players Of The Week Are "Perfect" Picks

Pitchers from South Ripley and Rising Sun threw perfect games last week.

(Versailles, Ind.) – It was a trifecta of perfect games thrown by Ohio River Valley Conference baseball players last week.

 

The ORVC report for May 7-12 was released on Thursday.

 

The South Ripley duo of Bryce Franklin and Brady Linkel, along with Rising Sun’s Brayden Bush shared ORVC Baseball Player of the Week honors.

 

Each of the three threw perfect games last week. Franklin and Linkel threw back-to-back perfect games for the Raiders against Shawe Memorial and Milan, respectively.

 

Bush’s perfect game also came against Shawe Memorial.

 

The ORVC Softball Player of the Week went to Southwestern’s Kate Sampson. Over a four-game span, Sampson collected 10 hits, 8 runs, 6 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases.

 

Southwestern’s Hunter Mefford was the ORVC Boys Golfer of the Week. The Rebels star recorded a nine-hole round of 37 at Butler Falls.

 

The Switzerland County Lady Pacers won the ORVC Track & Field Meet, while Southwestern took the title on the boy’s side. Full results from the ORVC Meet can be seen here.
