(Oldenburg, Ind.) - Nash King is going D-1.

The Oldenburg Academy swim star recently announced his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama.

King, a junior, has certainly made a name for himself in the swimming pool. In January, he was one of 52 male swimmers in his age group invited to attend the USA Swimming National Select Camp in Colorado Springs.

During his sophomore season, he qualified for the State Finals in 200 Individual Medley and the 500 Freestyle. He placed 9th in the 200 IM and 6th in the 500 Freestyle.

He placed 14th in the 500 Freestyle as a freshman.
