CINCINNATI - Three former EIAC stars are now playing for the same team at the college level and doing big things.
Kendal Fox, Payge Callahan and Preslee Rugg were among nine Mount St. Joseph University women's soccer players to earn Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason awards.
The trio played a key role in helping The Mount capture their second consecutive HCAC regular season championship.
Fox, an East Central graduate, was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-League selection. She led the Lions with 12 goals, including six that were game winners. She added three assists this season.
Fellow East Central graduate, Payge Callahan, earned Second Team All-HCAC honors. She helped anchor the Lions defense while adding a goal and two assists.
Preslee Rugg is the HCAC Newcomer of the Year and a First Team All-League selection. The former Lawrenceburg Tiger netted seven goals to go along with three assists.
