(Milan, Ind.) - The Milan Indians are one win away from playing for a state championship.

Milan's defense was terrific, causing three turnovers. Senior defensive back Micah Norman had two interceptions, while junior linebacker Grant Langferman had one.
Now the Indians shift their focus to #2 South Putnam (11-2). Milan will play host to the Eagles on Friday with the winner punching their ticket to the Class A State Championship Game on Black Friday, November 28.
Milan has never reached the state championship game. Their only appearance in the semi-state came in 1996 under then head coach Bob Brookbank. The Indians fell to Tri-West 28-0.

Milan's defense ranks 8th in Class A, allowing 15.45 points per game. The Indians' offense is outside the Top 10 in the class at 32.7 points per game.
