(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Mason Parris will get another shot at Gable Steveson.

Parris, a Lawrenceburg native and recent NCAA National Champion, will compete at Final X on Saturday, June 10 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

He is among 60 of the top wrestlers in the U.S. that will be competing to determine the 2023 U.S. Senior World Teams in all three Olympic disciplines.

The top two U.S. athletes in each weight class will compete in a best-of-three series in Final X to determine who will wrestle at the 2023 Senior World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

For Parris, he will meet a familiar foe in Gable Steveson in the Men's Freestyle 125 kg weight class.

Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist, is 5-0 against Parris, including a win in the 2021 National Championship.

Parris is coming off the best year of his wrestling career. He went 33-0 as a fifth-year senior and captured the NCAA heavyweight title for the first time in his college career. Of his 33 win, 17 came against nationally ranked opponents. He earned 21 bonus wins with 11 falls, three technical falls and seven major decisions.

In March, Parris won the Hodge Trophy, which is college wrestling's equivalent of the Heisman Trophy.

There are a variety of options for Final X wrestling-only event tickets, with prices starting at $40 on Ticketmaster.
