Mason Parris Shines In World's Most Famous Arena

The nation's #2 heavyweight remained undefeated, propelling his Wolverines to a conference win over Rutgers at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Under the bright lights of the world’s most famous arena, Mason Parris continued his “super” sophomore season.

Parris came into Saturday’s Big Ten Super Saturday Event at Madison Square Garden in New York City as the #2 heavyweight in the nation.

The Lawrenceburg native used a first-period pin to put the exclamation point on the #25 Wolverines 21-16 win over #23 Rutgers.

Parris improved to 22-0 on the season with 14 bonus wins, including eight falls.

The next big challenge for Parris and the Wolverines comes on February 8 when they host #1 Iowa.
