East Central picked up another big win in girls basketball, and the girls swimming and diving season got underway.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

East Central 51, Columbus East 45 - The Lady Trojans improve to 4-0. 

 

GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING

East Central 120, Milan 44

The Lady AquaTrojans start the season 1-0. Individual winners include:

  • Riley Hester - 200 Free
  • Kyra Hall - 200 IM, 100 Fly
  • Tara Hall - 50 Free, 100 Back
  • Natalie South - 1 meter diving
  • Caroline Walter - 100 Free
  • Kate Strotman - 500 Free

 

Tri-Meet at Eastern Hancock

New Castle 368, Batesville 364, Eastern Hancock 227 - The Lady Bulldogs were down 5 team members due to quarantine protocols, including three top-six swimmers from last season. 

Bulldog top finishers include:

  • Maria Lopez (11) - 200 IM, 2nd; 100 Fly, 2nd
  • Lilly Gellenbeck (9) - 100 Free, 2nd
  • Taylor Blanton (9) - 50 Free, 2nd; 100 Back, 2nd
